WHAT TO VISIT IN KOTOR

Kotor is the most precious diamond on the Boka Bay necklace.

This Unesco protected town, surrounded by mountains and the sea, represents a
perfect mix of Baroque, Venetian, and Austrian architecture. Entering this old
coastal Montenegrin city with remarkable scenic views is possible through three
gates, the main city gate – the Gate of the sea, the Southern Door better known as
Gurdića`s gate, and the North Door – The River Gate.

Well known for its cobblestone streets, polished marble piazzas, noble palazzos,
and beautiful cathedrals, this historical city is a must-visit point for every person
who visits Montenegro even for a weekend! Beyond its rich and interesting history,
Kotor is also a living, vibrant place with year-round activity.
Drinking morning coffee in one of the sunny Old Town squares, with church bells
ringing in the background and with a view of beautiful cathedrals, is one of the most
authentic experiences in Montenegro.

Kotor is a city of cats, so if you are a cat person you will enjoy meeting cats in the
streets and windows of Kotor. If you are not a cat lover, do not worry, they won’t
bother you but proudly will pose for you in front of unique historical places for a
typical Kotor photo that will hit many likes on your social media profile.
