The church of St Luke, located on the square piazza Greca, presents one of the
oldest buildings in Kotor, built in 1195. Mostly described as modest, small and sweet,
this church is one of the rare buildings in Kotor that didn`t experience a damage
during the strong earthquake in 1979. Having two altars, the Orthodox and the
Catholic one, makes this church a special one, joint with the fact that the floor of
the church was made of tomb panels (joined graves of the locals – regular way of
burial in the church itself until 1930`s).
